Sylvie Fanchon was a contemporary French painter born in Nairobi, Kenya 1953. Her career spanned from 1987 until her death on April 14, 2023, while working in Paris. Fanchon served as the head of the studio at the Beaux-Arts de Paris from 2001 to 2019, and her works were characterized by simple geometric shapes inspired by modern painters such as Kazimir Malevich and Piet Mondrian.
